If many people can use the same underlying audio, certain fingerprinting or rights-management systems may reject it as a unique reference.

A cover can involve different composition rights from an original song. Requirements vary by territory and use case.
Understand each use case
A licensed beat, a sampled recording and a cover song involve different permissions. A beat license may limit distribution, monetization or use in Content ID. A sample can require clearance of both the sampled master and the composition; a cover generally involves the composition rather than the original recording.
Check the actual agreement
Review whether the permission covers commercial digital stores, territories, duration, modifications and the number of releases or streams. Non-exclusive material can be especially difficult to use as an exclusive automated-claim reference. Do not assume a purchase automatically grants every right.
Supply reliable documentation
Keep invoices together with the full license terms, written permissions and any required songwriter credits. If you are unsure whether a track can be distributed, explain the source of the beat, sample or composition before submission and obtain professional legal guidance where necessary.
